Make the choice around your everyday ride
“What if I buy an electric skateboard and regret it?” Start by matching the board to your route, carrying needs and preferred ride feel. With OMW, those choices lead to different models and wheel setups. Get them right before ordering, then check the delivery and after-sales terms that apply to your purchase.
1. Choose for the part of the journey that matters most
- Carrying and public transport are daily requirements: start with Gladius. Its portable format, flexible carbon composite deck and integrated Kickhandle suit a journey that includes time off the board.
- You want a roomy street longboard: start with Lancer. Its 1000 × 260mm deck size provides a longboard platform, with three wheelbase-based flex settings. Choose it when the riding platform matters more than compact carrying.
- You want noticeable flex for commuting and carving: start with Hussar. Its flexible deck and segmented Chain-Whip battery enclosure suit riders who enjoy deck movement.
- Longer range reserve and rougher routes are priorities: start with Cavalry. Its larger battery and rigid protective enclosure suit that ownership brief. Allow for the board weight you will carry.
For a more detailed comparison, see our OMW electric skateboard buying guide. Decide whether you need portability, a longboard platform, pronounced flex or more range reserve before comparing top speeds.
2. Match the wheels to your regular route
For mostly paved riding on Gladius or Lancer, choose 105mm MAD Wheelz V2 as your everyday street setup. Choose 92mm MAD Mini if you prefer a smaller-wheel, agile feel on smoother pavement. For Lancer, choose 125mm MAD MAX when comfort over pavement texture is your priority.
Gladius with 125mm MAD MAX wheels requires a custom setup from OMW, including riser pads taller than the standard 20mm pads. Request that configuration before ordering; 125mm wheels are not a direct swap on the standard 20mm riser setup. We do not recommend fitting larger wheels to Gladius.
Cavalry comes with 175mm pneumatic wheels; Hussar comes with 150mm pneumatics. For owners who also want a street-wheel option, a supported two-in-one package lets you order both types rather than treating one wheel setup as ideal for every route.
Lancer's dedicated 150mm pneumatic setup is an option for mixed terrain, but it substantially reduces range compared with street wheels. Choose it for the terrain you need to cover, not because you expect the street-wheel range figure to stay the same. Use the OMW wheel setup guide to make that tradeoff before checkout.
3. Choose flex by feel, not by a mistaken strength assumption
On Cavalry and Hussar, High, Medium and Low Flex all support riders up to 150kg / 330lbs. Flex is a ride-feel choice: a lighter rider can choose Low Flex for a firmer platform, and a heavier rider can choose High Flex for more movement.
There is a separate clearance consideration on Hussar: a heavier rider using High Flex can bottom out the battery enclosure over potholes. That is a ground-clearance issue, not a lower load rating. Cavalry does not have the same Hussar-style flex-bottoming issue. Choose with your actual route in mind.
4. Know what after-sales support provides
Every OMW deck has lifetime warranty coverage, subject to the warranty terms. Complete boards have a 12-month warranty covering the listed components, including the battery, ESC, motors, remote, charger, trucks and wheel hubs. Separately purchased listed components have a six-month warranty.
Warranty support provides eligible replacement parts; it does not mean every problem results in a whole-board replacement. Normal wear, accident damage and misuse are outside coverage. Read the OMW warranty terms for the component coverage and exclusions.
If a problem develops, email support@omwboards.com with the email used for your order, the board identification code, a description of the issue and clear photos or video. Those details give the team something specific to diagnose.
5. Check the purchase terms before your first ride
For eligible orders delivered within the continental USA, you can request a return within seven days of delivery if the board has been ridden no more than 10 miles (16km). Keep the board and all accessories undamaged, in their original packaging and in resalable condition.
You pay return shipping, and a 6% processing fee is deducted from the refund. If the returned product does not meet the return requirements, the policy provides for a 15–30% restocking fee and deductions for damaged or missing parts. Custom or made-to-order products, clearance items and individual parts are excluded. The return option described here applies only to eligible continental-USA deliveries.
Before sending a return, email support@omwboards.com with your order number, purchase email and the requested condition, mileage and packaging photos or video. Obtain OMW authorization first. See the return, refund and cancellation policy for the full process. Warranty service and a change-of-mind return are different processes.
Check the shipping policy for your destination and configuration. With a locally stocked two-in-one order, the board and the additional wheel set can arrive in separate shipments. Plan around the complete setup you need, rather than assuming every item travels in one box.
Send us your route before you choose
If you are choosing between two OMW setups, email sales@omwboards.com with your rider weight, usual round-trip distance, road surface, carrying or stair requirements, and preferred flex feel. Tell us which two models or configurations you are considering. That gives us a practical basis for a recommendation before you order.
